Our impact, through their eyes

Real people. Real progress. Lasting change.

Every opportunity has a story. Meet the people turning practical support into independence, dignity and a more hopeful future.

Success stories

Sometimes, a single opportunity can change the direction of a life. A means to earn, a skill to learn, access to clean water, or a safe place to call home can open doors to a future filled with greater possibility.

At Charity Doings Foundation (CDF), we believe that meaningful change goes beyond providing assistance. It is about empowering people, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for individuals and families to build more secure, independent futures.

Our Success Stories bring these journeys to life through the voices and experiences of the people we serve. Each story reflects resilience, determination, and the difference that practical support can make.

These are more than stories of assistance. They are stories of dignity, empowerment, progress, and hope.

From Opportunity to Independence

Empowering People. Transforming Livelihoods. Changing Lives.

A livelihood is more than a way to earn money. It is the ability to support a family, face tomorrow with greater confidence, and build a future through one’s own efforts.

At Charity Doings Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to work towards a better future. Through our sustainable livelihood initiatives, we support individuals and families with practical opportunities to earn, develop skills, and become more self-reliant.

From distributing fruit carts and rickshaws to supporting women through sewing skills and encouraging families to grow and sell vegetables through kitchen gardens, our initiatives reflect the different ways opportunity can transform lives.

A fruit cart can become a source of income. A rickshaw can help someone pursue a livelihood. Sewing skills can empower a woman to earn from home and teach others. A kitchen garden can provide fresh food and create opportunities to sell surplus produce.

Behind every initiative are people striving to support their families, improve their circumstances, and build a more secure future.

These journeys remind us that meaningful support is not simply about what is provided today. It is about the opportunities people can build upon tomorrow.

This is the heart of sustainable livelihoods: helping people turn opportunity into action, skills into income, and determination into progress.

A Fresh Start, A Brighter Future

Sustainable Livelihoods | Fruit Cart Distribution

Sometimes, one opportunity can be the beginning of a brighter future.

As part of its sustainable livelihoods initiative, Charity Doings Foundation (CDF) distributed 30 fruit carts to beneficiaries, creating opportunities for individuals to earn an income through honest work and move towards greater financial independence.

In this video, we speak with few of the beneficiaries to hear their story firsthand and learn what this opportunity means to them. Their experience reflects the purpose behind this initiative: helping people build livelihoods, support their families, and work towards a more secure future with dignity.

For CDF, this initiative is about more than distributing fruit carts. It is about opening doors to opportunity, encouraging self-reliance, and supporting people as they take meaningful steps towards a better tomorrow.

Because when people are given the opportunity to earn, they gain more than income — they gain the chance to shape their own future.

From a Home-Based Shop to a Future Full of Possibilities

Women’s Empowerment | Sustainable Livelihoods

One woman’s opportunity became a source of support for her entire family — and a convenience for her community.

With support from Charity Doings Foundation (CDF), one woman turned her home into a small cloth and lace shop, creating a livelihood that is making a meaningful difference in her life and the lives of those around her.

Today, her shop offers local women access to fabrics, laces, and clothing essentials without having to travel to distant cities for shopping. What began as an opportunity for one woman has also become a valuable service for her community.

Through her business, she is now earning a good income and using it to support her parents and help pay her siblings’ education fees. Her hard work is helping meet her family’s needs while contributing to her siblings’ hopes for a brighter future.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that when women are given the right support and an opportunity to grow, the impact can extend far beyond one individual. It can strengthen families, serve communities, and help create a future where more people have the chance to thrive.

At CDF, we believe women’s empowerment means more than helping someone start a business. It means supporting independence, building confidence, and creating opportunities that can benefit generations.

One shop. One empowered woman. A whole family moving forward.

From Water to Harvest: Growing Food, Growing Independence

Solar-Powered Water Well | Kitchen Gardens & Sustainable Livelihoods

One source of water. Countless opportunities to grow.

Access to water can do more than nourish the land — it can help families grow their own food, earn an income, and build a more independent future.

Through its community development initiatives, Charity Doings Foundation (CDF) supported access to a solar-powered water well, helping women and men in the community grow vegetables in their own home gardens.

Today, these gardens are more than patches of green. They are a source of fresh food for families and an opportunity to earn. By growing vegetables for their households and selling surplus produce, community members are turning their hard work into a source of income and taking meaningful steps towards greater self-reliance.

This initiative reflects CDF’s belief that sustainable development is about creating opportunities that continue to benefit people over time. When communities have access to essential resources, they can build on their own skills, make productive use of their land, and create new possibilities for their families.

From watering seeds to harvesting vegetables and selling produce, every step represents progress towards a more food-secure and financially independent future.

Because when water helps a garden grow, it can help livelihoods flourish, too. Watch the Story

A Roof of Her Own, A Future for Her Daughters

Rebuilding Lives | Housing Support for Vulnerable Families

For a mother raising four daughters, a safe home means more than shelter. It means security, dignity, and the hope of a better tomorrow.

When a family loses its home, it loses more than walls and a roof. It loses the place where children feel safe, where memories are made, and where a family finds comfort in the middle of life’s hardships.

Through its Rebuilding Lives Project, Charity Doings Foundation (CDF) supports vulnerable families whose homes have been destroyed or lost due to floods and other circumstances. Among these families is a widow raising four daughters, who received a home through CDF’s support.

For her and her daughters, this home represents more than a place to live. It offers the comfort of a roof over their heads, a safer place to grow, and the opportunity to face the future with renewed hope. It is a space where her daughters can rest, learn, dream, and build their lives with greater security.

Her story is one of many. Through this initiative, CDF has helped vulnerable families regain something every family deserves: a safe place to call home.

Because every child deserves to grow up with shelter and security, and every mother deserves the peace of knowing her children have a roof over their heads.

At Charity Doings Foundation, we believe rebuilding a home is also about rebuilding hope, restoring dignity, and giving families the foundation to begin again.

Stitching Skills, Building Futures

Women’s Empowerment | Two-Month Stitching Training Centre, Sindh

Every stitch brings them one step closer to independence.

Sometimes, the most meaningful support is not simply giving someone a resource, but equipping them with a skill they can carry throughout their lives.

Through its women’s empowerment initiative in Sindh, Charity Doings Foundation (CDF) established a stitching centre where women receive two months of practical training to develop their sewing skills and explore opportunities to earn an income.

In this video, several students share their experiences and express their happiness at learning a skill that can open new doors for them. For these women, stitching is more than a craft. It is an opportunity to become financially independent, contribute to their households, and work towards a future shaped by their own abilities.

With the skills they are learning, they can aspire to take sewing orders, stitch clothes for customers, or establish small home-based businesses. Each new technique they master brings them closer to turning their learning into a livelihood.

At CDF, we believe that empowering women begins with creating opportunities for them to learn, grow, and believe in their potential. By investing in practical skills, we aim to help women build confidence today and create possibilities for tomorrow.

Because when a woman learns a skill, she gains more than knowledge — she gains another way to shape her future Watch the Story

Every Wheel, A Step Towards Independence

CDF’s Project: Uplifting Communities | Disability Inclusion

100 Wheelchairs Distributed. Greater Mobility. New Possibilities.

For people living with mobility challenges, everyday activities can become difficult when the right support is out of reach. Access to a wheelchair can make a meaningful difference, helping individuals move around more easily, participate in daily life, and experience greater independence.

Through CDF’s Project: Uplifting Communities, Charity Doings Foundation distributed 100 wheelchairs to individuals in need, supporting their mobility, dignity, and inclusion.

During the distribution ceremony, we interviewed several beneficiaries who shared their heartfelt gratitude and spoke about how their wheelchairs had helped them in their daily lives. For them, this support means more than a mobility aid. It offers greater freedom to move around, carry out everyday activities, and take steps towards a more independent life.

Every beneficiary has a unique story, but their experiences reflect a shared message: when people receive the support they need, new possibilities open up.

Through its Uplifting Communities project, CDF strives to support vulnerable individuals, reduce barriers, and promote a more inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity.

The journey continues

Every story is a reminder of what is possible.

Behind every livelihood is a person working towards independence. Behind every garden is the possibility of nourishment and growth. Behind every water project is a community gaining access to an essential resource. Behind every act of support is an opportunity to make life a little better.

At Charity Doings Foundation, we believe meaningful change is built through compassion, practical action, and a commitment to the people and communities we serve.

These stories celebrate not only the support provided, but also the determination, resilience, and aspirations of the people moving forward.

And these are only a glimpse of our work.

The stories of hope, resilience, and transformation continue. Every community we reach, every opportunity we help create, and every life touched becomes part of a much bigger journey. Our success stories are far from over,  there are many more lives, dreams, and moments of change waiting to be shared.

Together, we can create more opportunities, strengthen more communities, and make more stories of hope possible.

Serving Communities. Rebuilding Lives. Creating Lasting Impact.

More opportunities. More stories of hope.

Together, we can strengthen communities and help more people build a secure, independent future.
