Empowering Women Through Kitchen Gardening

Kitchen gardening provides women with practical skills that can be used to grow vegetables and other food for their households. Training helps participants understand how to establish and maintain productive gardens, giving families an opportunity to become more involved in growing their own food.

The initiative combines food support with skills development, helping communities build practical capacity around food production rather than relying only on short-term assistance.

Growing a More Sustainable Future

Green Kitchen Gardens are part of CDF’s wider commitment to sustainable community development. By supporting household-level food production and training women in practical gardening skills, the program contributes to stronger and more self-reliant communities.
