Food Support

Nourishing Families, Strengthening Communities

Charity Doings Foundation provides food assistance to communities facing hardship, helping families meet essential nutritional needs during difficult periods. Our food-support initiatives respond to both immediate emergencies and ongoing community needs, ensuring that assistance reaches people when it matters most.

Why This Matters

Ramadan Iftar Hubs

Food support also extends beyond emergency response. During Ramadan, CDF operates Iftar Hubs that provide free meals to people in need.

The permanent Westridge Rawalpindi Iftar Station serves approximately 300–320 people every day, providing around 110,000 meals each year. During Ramadan, CDF expands its reach through additional Iftar stations, with approximately 5–6 additional locations serving around 130–150 people each evening.

Together, these initiatives provide thousands of additional meals during Ramadan, creating welcoming spaces where people can break their fast with dignity and community.

Our Impact

Essential Food Assistance When Families Need It

During disasters and emergencies, families can lose access to food, income and basic household supplies at the same time. Floods and other crises can destroy livelihoods and leave vulnerable households dependent on humanitarian assistance.

CDF responds by providing essential food and ration supplies to affected communities. Following the 2025 floods, CDF distributed 7,800 essential ration packs across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, helping families meet immediate food needs during a challenging period.

These ration distributions are designed to provide practical support to households facing difficult circumstances and help reduce the pressure of securing basic food supplies during a crisis.

Ramadan Iftar Hubs/Station

CDF’s Iftar work is one of our most meaningful projects. We run a permanent feeding station in Westridge, Rawalpindi that operates every single day of the year, and expand across cities during Ramadan.

Why This Matters

Food Support With Dignity & Compassion

Food assistance is not simply about distributing supplies. It is about recognising the circumstances people are facing and responding with compassion, dignity and practical support.
