In a small, rural village nestled deep within Punjab, lives Imran—a hardworking farmer who has faced more than his fair share of challenges. For years, Imran struggled to provide for his family, relying on a small, parched piece of land that yielded little more than despair. The lack of clean water made farming almost impossible, and the daily trek to distant water sources consumed precious time and energy. His dream of cultivating a lush, productive garden that could feed his family and provide some income seemed increasingly out of reach. But everything changed when Charity Doings Foundation (CDF) brought their transformative initiatives to Imran’s village. The first sign of hope came with the installation of a water hand pump, part of CDF’s Solar Water Well initiative. For the first time in years, clean, accessible water was available right at Imran’s doorstep. This life-changing resource didn’t just quench the thirst of Imran’s family—it gave him the means to truly cultivate his land. With the reliable water supply, Imran eagerly embraced the opportunity to participate in CDF’s Green Garden initiative. He received training and support to plant a variety of 6ft tall fruit and vegetable plants that thrive in the region’s soil. Within months, his once-barren plot was transformed into a vibrant, green oasis brimming with tomatoes, cucumbers, guavas, and more.

The impact on Imran’s life has been nothing short of miraculous. No longer burdened by the daily struggle for water, Imran can now focus on growing his garden and expanding his small farm. His family enjoys fresh, nutritious produce, and the surplus is sold at local markets, providing a steady income. The once-dry land that yielded so little now sustains not only Imran’s family but also contributes to the well-being of his entire community.

“Before Charity Doings Foundation stepped in, life was a constant struggle. My land was dry, and finding water was a daily challenge. But with the installation of the water hand pump and the Green Garden initiative, everything changed. Now, I have a thriving garden that feeds my family and provides extra income. What was once barren land is now a source of hope and prosperity. Thanks to CDF, I’m not just surviving—I’m truly thriving.”
